well another year another wasted campaign the blues are just a little of winning but really we never had a chance in that 2nd half the way the assholes from up north seem to always get the luck of the draw is painful to watch

anyways big weekend here working all weekend and yeah trackwork on the illawarra line so lots to clean

getting overtime as well due to getting zero replacements now the reforms have been reformed again

i dare say we wont get anymore new recruits other than displaced people from everywhere (transits-psa-admin staff) seeing a few

yeah greg climbing in from the ground isnt easy for anyone its a long way up . They do rotate out there so station cleaning is there as well

im into 3 night shift tonite i think i have the weekend off but thats not guaranteed due to lots of people off sick the flu and colds have hit our staff as well worked solo last night again

Well yesterday I got my first Apple Mac computer, I finally bit the bullet and bought one, so far so good although address book is totally different to Outlook, that will take some getting used to.

Groggo, I am still having problems with the Editing on my posts, every Saturday making my horse tips bold, colour and sizing they are not coming on properly, text reverts back to lower case even though I type in Upper case. I am using Safari now so this shouldn't be happening. I should just be able to click on Font or Size or B and A for colour and it should do it automatically but it doesn't, it puts the links in instead and I have to save to see what I've done, please fix this up for me.

You have to copy and select each item individually, It has been that way for a long time now for me anyway !

I could try other surf users but refer to stick with Windows server !

Good morning all, day off. I start work at my new location tomorrow morning. Well I start at Eastwood but my new home station is Macquarie University. One thing I won't miss about the ESR is all the bludgers who work as PSAs there. If you follow them on a shift you know you've got more than your fair share of work to do. They keeping bringing more of them to the ESR. Theres some rippers there, people who have sickies every fortnight and don't ring, people who whinge about every task, people who sit in barrier, control and lunch rooms or whereever they can hide for the majority of their shift. I say they have a death wish, with the axe hanging over our collective heads you'd think they'd pull out all stops to prove we should not be privatised. No these dummies have just got worse than they were before. I've been told the Epping line has their share of bludgers as well and everybody has slowed down. My question; how does that improve our case?

The 2 main Supervisors and a team leader said they will miss me. They wanted me to stay

Hows all the Friday night finals games Manly has had? I was able to get a day in lieu last week with great difficulty but couldn’t do that 2 weeks in a row particularly seeing it was my last scheduled ESR shift. The NRL and the media were getting up Manly fans during the week but schedule all our games on a Friday. It would have been difficult for people even working business hours to get there in peak hour traffic. A lot of people work locally as well. Oh wait Newcastle and other fans claim none of us work and we all have a fleet of BMWs. I can’t find any of mine. The league has obviously adopted the same attitude Manly fans won’t travel and none of them have any work commitments and we are all rich. It’s all about t.v. and they don’t give a damn about the fans except to make a stadium look full for Channel 9.:angrymad::crazy::mad::super-fart:

G'day I don't check the site out every day like I used to especially now that I am using Google and only open pages up when I want to read them whereas before I used to have a few pages open automatically as home pages. whats happening in rocker world? Looks like no more money for Brookie from the State Government. what they don't seem to realise is that Melbourne actually has transport to sporting venues and both major stadiums are an easy flat walk from the city. One is adjacent to the main railway station. Sydney is hilly and has no tram or train line anywhere near Moore Park and the bus stops outside the Fox Studios site not SFS. They expect old and invalid people to walk all that way back to the ground.

Here's the controversial question. I'm thinking of getting a new com to replace my aging one. A lot of people at work in my sector bring laptops to work with them. I was thinking apple but there has been a bit of negative publicity about them lately. Should I just get a cheap laptop for portable use, to surf the net and watch movies while travelling home and at work during breaks and maybe get a home system later? The amount of technology available is a bit confusing and depends on what suits your needs, a lot of people just have tablets.

Hello Geoff. Well, I'm sure if Groggo asnswered you he would go with Apple because he hates "BILL".

But I can only answer you with what I know and it may not be what is best for you. So in the end you will still have to decide.

In March this year Tigris purchased me a Samsung Lap-top (With Windows 7) with the view of being portable and able to take it anywhere I like. I thought it was a good idea and while it does allow me to be in the loungroom and watch TV at the same time it hardlly ever leaves the kitchen table where Tigris is allways playing "JEWELQUEST" or some other connect the dot games.

To be honest I think the Laptop is a good idea but too expensive to get stolen while being at work or out and about, I thought about taking it to work and watching shows during breaks but in the end I did not think it was worth the effort.

I now have a "SAMSUNG S" that I pay $5 extra on my plan that gives me plenty to play games on line or connect to "ROCKERS & Facebook". I sent that pool photo to Facebook on Saturday with my Samsung phone.

A work friend has a Samsung Tablet that she swears by, I have noticed the adds on TV at the moment about getting an APP for "FOXTEL ON THE GO" that could entertain you while travelling to and from work. But I do not know if it is only for IPADS.

This Xmas Tigris has purchased a new Tower from Office-works for $380 to replace my one in the computer room that I blow up while working on it with the power on. (lol) I got one with Windows 7 but you can get them with Windows 8 ! I have not connected it yet as I'm waiting to get it as a Xmas present and I can work on it while on holidays.

So I hope there is an answer for you some-where in my post.

geoff it depends on what ya want to spend apple is hassle free mate ive been using since 2005 my sugguestion is a little different to what you have there

if you want to stay with windows get a desktop pc for home and grab either a samsung tablet or ipad for travel and work

i just use my samsung s3 mobile for traveling to and from work though . alot easier to carry on PT as well

laptops are ok but desktop option is better easier upgrades and replace part when the need arises

Hello All.

Well, it is Holiday time again, my 1st day A/L will end with the work Xmas party in Fairfield RSL.

But before that happens, I must get a wet/dry Carpet cleaner from Woolies. Then drop the car of for it's Xmas service and replace a headlight that an old man backed into me and smashed. He was too old to be driving and I have not asked him to pay for the repair. Got a replacement one from Wreckers for $50 and my serviceman will put it in for me.
Then walk home do the carpets in the house, when finished, walk back up the road and get the car then return the cleaner to Woolies.

After that, Drive to Campbelltown get the pool water tested for free at "CLARKE RUBBER" go and pick up Tigris at the station. Then I can have a dip in the pool before getting ready to go out to the works Xmas party.

And that is just the 1st day.

Good evening all, did my 9th day shift in a row today. Started with 1 day at Epping, 1 at Mac. Uni and 7 at Eastwood. Todays was an overtime shift, leaving me with only day off. The good news is I was supposed to be starting at noon and finishing at 8:00 p.m on Monday but I got a swap with a person working at the same station so I'll be starting at 8:00 a.m and finishing at 4:00 p.m. Enough time to get to the game at Brookie. I wonder how people get rostered 4 and 5 days off in a row. This year I've only managed 3 days in a row and they always want me to work 2 of them.

Yes I did say I was available for Saturday and Sunday afternoon but that wouldn't work now following the swap as I start at 8:00 a.m. I do say no sometimes especially if I'm buggered or I have something I'm going to.
In other news I made it to stage 2 of Transport Officer on Thursday and my transfer back To Bondi Junction has been approved, its just a matter of when. I'm going back because of the travelling involved especially to Eastwood and too many bullies and gossipers in my present area. I was bullied on Wednesday not only by a psa but a dickhead Supervisor as well. This is after doing 7 hours straight without a break, 4 at Eastwood and 3 at Epping after nobody had been there for 4 hours. The trouble is nobody does anything about it. Ive reported it to the Union and Michael said he would ask the Shift Manager what happened. I've had enough of it. I could understand being bullied if I was a bludger, but I had been busting my guts.

Woohoo I'm part of the mobile internet revolution. Posting from my Nokia E71 at work in my meal break. I was a bit slow to take up the new technology as I am with most technology except colour t.v. I bought one of those suckers the month it started broadcasting in 1975. Had a Rank Arena, it was a good set and lasted well over 10 years. Not all programs were broadcast in colour though at first in the trial period. The first show I saw in colour was Daniel Boone (pity of trivia there)
