I can remember Molly when I was l3 back in l963.He had a lot of
hair then! lol He started on this show called Top 40 or something like
that. They used to mime the top 40 hits. I loved it.
I entered this competition to choreograph the song 'Please don't
talk to the lifeguard' & I won!! I was so thrilled I will never forget
that morning I was watching the show & it came on. Molly mimed it
too!
I think he is bald now,he would look funny without that hat!
I like Molly, he has a big heart!

Oh, gosh Dave, yes I remember now.I have a feeling he
lives somewhere up here on the CC now.
Saturday Date was my favourite,My friend & I used to go
over to Artarmon & dance on the show(with lots of other kids)
the cameraman would chase us around it was so exciting!
It was there I saw John Farnham for the very first time! He came
out & stood on this little stand & sang 'Sadie' It was love at first
sight for me! I still love him today as much as ever.

I remember the American show Solid Gold. They would have different guest hosts like Glen Campbell, etc. What about Kasey Caissons Top 40 countdown on the radio. He was an absolute expert on rock music history.

I can't remember Solid Gold,I must be getting old lol
Donnie Sutherland had a voice like gravel , your right Geoff.
When I was l0 we got our first TV.It was l960. There were hardly
any shows on TV back then. One I loved was 'Six o'clock Rock'
on Saturday with Johnny O'Keefe. I fell in love with it instantly!
of course Bandstand followed & John eventually got his own show
called 'Sing,Sing,Sing' I loved them all!

oh I loved that song "Ichicoo park (Gosh how do you spell it?)
by the Small faces. I was about l6 when that came out.
All about drugs. oooooooooooooooh lol
I loved all those shows.

Your right Mandy, Kim did have a couple of other hits.
I was reading an article last night in a magazine about LYNN RANDELL
remember her?? 'Ciao Baby let's call it a day' She looks just the same
despite her 35 year drug addiction to diet pills. So much pressure on her
back then to lose weight.she was advised by a friend working in a chemist
to start taking'miracle' prescription slimming tablets. Each capsule contained
30milligrams of Methamphetamin. It was pure speed.
Suddenly she didn't need sleep or food. They were poison. If there is one thing
in my life I regret it is that stupid balck capsule.
